Ryan A. Kriegshauser

Ryan A. Kriegshauser practices primarily in the area of complex commercial litigation. He has been involved in the successful defense of various class action lawsuits. In addition, he also practices election law and free speech litigation.

Mr. Kriegshauser was born in Kansas City, Missouri and was raised in Northeastern Kansas. He graduated from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. with a major in Government and a minor in English. In addition, Mr. Kriegshauser is an alumnus of the Fund for American Studies - Bryce Harlow Institute of Business-Government Affairs.

While in D.C., Mr. Kriegshauser accumulated policy experience working both on "Capitol Hill" and "K Street". He has worked for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), Senator Sam Brownback, Congressman Jerry Moran, the House of Representatives Ways and Means Committee - tax staff, and as a member of then-Chairman Bill Thomas's personal staff.
After returning from Washington, Mr. Kriegshauser founded his own business.

Mr. Kriegshauser received his J.D. from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. While in law school, he was a member of the Federalist Society and served as Articles Editor for the UMKC Law Review. His writing credits include: "The Shot Heard Around Virtual Worlds: The Emergence and Future of Unconscionability in Agreements Relating to Property in Virtual Worlds," 76 UMKC L Rev. 1077 (2008); "E.T. Take Home: The Out-of-this-World Rational for Extraterritorial Takings and Ignoring their Inherent Conflict with the Fifth Amendment," 75 UMKC L. Rev. 925 (2007). Mr. Kriegshauser also participated in the UMKC Entrepreneurial Legal Services Clinic, helping small business owners incorporate and draft contracts.

While in law school, Mr. Kriegshauser also clerked for the law firm of Cohen, McNeile, and Pappas focusing on general commercial litigation and contract disputes.

Mr. Kriegshauser is heavily involved in the community, speaking in various settings on political and legal issues. In 2008, Mr. Kriegshauser was elected a national delegate to the GOP Convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is also proud to serve his country as a member of the Navy Reserve.

Currently, Mr. Kriegshauser resides in Gardner, Kansas with his wife Christie.
