Mr. Greim practices in the areas of Complex Commercial and Securities Litigation and Free Speech Litigation and Election Law. His experience spans a variety of litigation matters. His Complex Commercial Litigation and Securities Litigation practice has included prosecution and defense of claims for business torts, misappropriation of trade secrets, and breach of contract; representation of broker-dealers and customers in securities litigation; defense of clients subject to securities investigations and enforcement actions; representation of hedge funds in investor litigation; applications for federal discovery to aid clients in foreign proceedings; and statutory and constitutional litigation involving Missouri public bodies and officials.
Mr. Greim’s Free Speech Litigation and Election Law practice has included constitutional challenges to election and campaign finance laws, representation of clients in ethics and campaign finance enforcement actions and investigations, initiative petition drafting and litigation, litigation and advice regarding First Amendment protections for petition circulation, representation of not-for-profit clients before state regulators, and advice on campaign and election law compliance. Mr. Greim has successfully represented clients in trial and appellate courts in Missouri, Michigan, Oklahoma, and the United States Courts of Appeal for the Sixth and Tenth Circuits. He is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of Missouri, New York, and Kansas.
Mr. Greim became a partner of the firm in 2010. In 2009, he was recognized as a Missouri Lawyers Weekly "Up and Coming Lawyer." A 2002 graduate of Harvard Law School, Mr. Greim taught on the Board of Student Advisers, received the Dean’s Award for Leadership, and served as President of the Harvard Catholic Law Students’ Association. At the University of Missouri, Mr. Greim earned degrees summa cum laude in economics and political science, was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, and received the Sigma Chi International Balfour Award. Mr. Greim practiced at the law firm of Bryan Cave LLP for the first four years of his career, specializing in complex commercial and securities litigation. A native of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, Mr. Greim moved back to his home state in 2006 after practicing for three years in the New York office of Bryan Cave. He now lives in the Brookside neighborhood of Kansas City with his family. Mr. Greim is active on the Sigma Chi Corporation of Missouri and Kansas City Catholic Lawyers’ Guild.
